My name is Kaliyah Bacon, and I founded Jewell Express Vending in 2025 after a major turning point in my life.

In 2023, I was unexpectedly let go from my role in the luxury high jewelry industry, where I had worked with some of the world’s most recognized brands. While the experience was difficult, it ultimately pushed me to step back, reflect, and build something of my own—something rooted in purpose, not just profit.

Jewell Express Vending was created in honor of my late great-grandmother, Johnnie L. Jewell, affectionately known to me as Bigma. Born in 1938, she was a blessing not only to me, but to everyone lucky enough to know her. One of my strongest memories of Bigma is how her home was always a place of provision. There was always food, snacks, and drinks available exactly when someone needed them—even when they didn’t realize they did. Her kitchen was a space of care, comfort, and generosity.

Bigma was also deeply committed to health and wellness, which is something she lived by throughout her life. She lived to be 83, and her habits left a lasting impression on me. That legacy is the foundation of Jewell Express Vending.

My goal is to offer more than the standard snacks you expect to find at a gas station. Every product placed in a Jewell Express machine is intentionally selected by me, with a focus on quality, balance, and better options for the people we serve. This business is about providing convenience without compromising well-being.

With a background in public relations from Georgia Southern University, experience in high-end retail, and years of developing a strong business mindset, I bring both care and professionalism into everything I do. Jewell Express Vending isn’t just another vending machine—it’s a continuation of a legacy built on nourishment, reliability, and community.
